Plumbing Purchasing Agent
Buying:
Research and Negotiate with Vendors, Pricing, Terms, and Products offered.
Coordinate Shipments with Manufacture and Warehouse.
Develop a line of Communication and establish and maintain a working Relationship and Trust with Vendors.
Research various Market Regions.
Be familiar with products offered by Manufacturers.
Maintain communication with All Departments, Warehouse, and Store Personnel.
Be a Client and Sales Representative for Bradford White Corp.
Project Pricing:
Assist Stores in pricing of projects they send in, or call in.
List material from Fixture Schedules, Specification books, and cross reference to approved equals from Blue prints and Spec’s.
Follow up on Priced/Quoted projects.
Be current on material cost and consider up coming price increases..
Job Quotes:
Knowledge in reading plans and Specifications,
Cross reference products from a Specified Manufacture’s Model number to a Manufacture Locke Supply Co. stocks. (Where possible)
Have knowledge of required items to completely trim a plumbing fixture from wall (or floor) rough, Water Heater, Recirculating Pumps, etc.
Provide Shop Drawings, (Submittals), Operation and Maintenance Manuals when required.
Develop Communication with Architects and Engineers for clarifying Spec’s and Plans.
Work with Architects and Engineers to Specify products carried by Locke Supply Co.
Be familiar with local and other trade area Codes. Ref: Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
SUPPORT TO LOCKE STORES:
Provide technical support to the Plumbing Stores, and occasionally Electrical Stores.
Provide spec sheets, parts list, and rough in drawings when requested.
Help with set up and take down, promote product at Open House’s at the Stores, Trade Shows, and Home Shows.
